What is a Pending Order?
A pending order is a trade set up in advance, before the market reaches a specified price.
Normally, we buy and sell in the current market using “market orders.” With a pending order, however, you set a price, and the order is executed automatically as soon as the market reaches that price—even if you’re busy. It’s used to get the right entry point and avoid missing an opportunity. (The main types are limit and stop orders.)
