In a statement reported by the official KCNA news agency, she accuses the FBI of trying to portray North Korea as a state specializing in cybercrime. Pyongyang categorically denies any involvement in the Binance hack.
The U.S. position, however, is quite different.
The FBI has officially attributed the cyberattack to the North Korean hacker group TraderTraitor.
As accusations of cybercrime and allegations of a political conspiracy fly, the dispute surrounding this case is now taking on a diplomatic dimension.
