Status now:

Binance resumed withdrawals in phases on November 1 at 06:00 UTC — the first phase covered 15 networks: BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, XRP, DOGE, USDT, USDC

ETH is back — and that’s why the market rose a bit today

Today, November 2, USD + AED + VND/PHP/IDR withdrawals also resumed — 28 fiat currencies in total

The numbers are alarming:

November 1: $4.649B withdrawn vs. $1.01B deposited = $3.64B net outflow in 9 hours = 2.1% of Binance’s $171B in assets

Reuters: Net outflows reached $4.72B; DeFiLlama says $5.8B

The Defiant: $5.14B in outflows in one day and $14B over the full week

The hack:

$6.3B stolen in 20 minutes across 10 networks, via 608 Ethereum addresses

Binance said it has now covered 95%—up from 90% on Saturday—using company funds + SAFU + the insurance fund. The remaining 5% is in small, low-liquidity coins

They said: "Users' funds are safe. We will absorb the loss, not our customers"

BNB rose +1.39% to $712.50, making it today's strongest large-cap coin

Important warning today from director Richard Teng:

Scammers are calling people and saying, "We'll speed up your withdrawal; pay us to unlock it; transfer your funds to a safe vault"—Binance never asks for money to speed up a withdrawal or contacts you first

Coming up:

The remaining networks will come back online gradually after security checks

A new Proof-of-Reserves report with a ZK proof will be released today, November 2
