Binance completes a verifiable Proof of Reserves for ten assets
Confirmed: Binance completed the zero-knowledge proof for the snapshot taken on October 31 at 00:00 UTC. Users can individually verify that their balances of BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD, and ZEC are backed, according to Binance, at least 1:1. Binance Support
The platform maintains its declared recovery of the stolen assets at 95%. The remaining 5% consists of less liquid tokens that are not included in this group of ten. Binance announced:
New snapshot of reserves with more tokens: November 4. Subsequent cryptographic proof: 40 to 50 hours later. Next withdrawal phase: scheduled for November 3.
Full technical report on the attack: no date yet.
Why it matters for Mexico/LATAM: this proof allows each user to check that their covered balances are included, which is more robust than simply accepting a corporate statement. However, it does not cover all assets or replace a comprehensive financial audit.
