There’s something interesting about the market today:
Prices look like they’ve stabilized, but the options market is still quietly buying insurance.

$BTC is currently around $78,300
Only about 4% below the high before news of Thursday’s hack broke
The weekend didn’t bring a collapse—that’s a vote of confidence in Binance’s quick response

But don’t be fooled by appearances
On Deribit, the 1-day 25-delta put skew rose by about 1 point in a single day, reaching 6.37
In plain English: there are clearly more people willing to pay to protect against a sharp drop than betting on a big rally

Spot ETFs haven’t recovered either
They saw net outflows of $643 million last Friday alone
Wiping out all the inflows from the previous four days

There are plenty of variables this week:
US midterm election results start coming in Tuesday
Plus October nonfarm payrolls and central bank decisions from the UK, Australia, Norway, and Sweden
Prices holding steady doesn’t mean the risks are behind us

Are you holding spot and waiting for direction, or have you already bought options as insurance?
