Are the prices in the contract updated automatically every so often, or fetched only when needed?
My understanding: the advantage of push-based updates is that the contract can be read at any time. The trade-off is that the oracle network has to keep paying Gas to push updates, so the update frequency can't be increased indefinitely.
Each Pyth price feed includes a confidence interval, which can represent the degree of variation among quotes from multiple publishers.
$PYTH and $LINK are the tokens of the oracle networks Pyth and Chainlink, respectively. Currently 0.06439.
