The filing deadline for cryptocurrency companies already operating in Brazil expired on Friday (October 30). Companies that missed the deadline must cease providing services within 30 days, while those that filed on time may continue operating during regulatory review. Cainvest Group’s tracking platform had identified 68 institutions by 7:30 p.m. local time on Friday, including some cases not confirmed by the companies themselves. Applicants include major banks, Brazil’s stock exchange B3, and global cryptocurrency exchanges. Chainalysis’s 2026 Global Crypto Adoption Index ranked Brazil first among 117 countries.
