November has barely started, and people on X are already calling it Moonvember.
October was pretty dreary—the $BTC monthly chart was down around seven or eight points, wobbling from around 83,000 to just over 77,000. I took a quick look this morning, and it was around 78,100, up slightly—less than 1%—over the past 24 hours. The Fear and Greed Index is still at 35, in fear territory.
But a glance at the calendar and the mood shifts again. Historically, Bitcoin’s November has often looked better than October. On the stock market side, some people have been digging through the old numbers, saying that the year after a midterm election is usually an up year for US stocks. With the US midterm elections tomorrow, the market is caught between “fear of October’s aftershocks” and “hopes for November’s usual script.”
I don’t think chanting a slogan will make the market move on its own. But the change in sentiment is pretty interesting: people who were just spooked by October are already looking up historical backtests on November’s first day.
Which side do you believe in more? Do you think November seasonality will give $BTC a boost, or should we wait and see ahead of the election instead of rushing in? Pick a side in the comments—I want to see whether sentiment is running hot or cold right now.
