1. First, the current picture

As of the 10-31 close, BNBUSDT closed at 703.95, with EMA20 at 732.87. The close has now been below it for the third consecutive candle, a distance of -3.95% ($28.92).

The 10-31 candle itself was very small: open 704.41, high 710.83, low 698.79, with a 1.71% range—the narrowest since 10-21 (1.60%). Its high did not reach 10-30's 722.08, and its low did not break below 10-30's 682.16—the entire candle was contained within the previous one, making it an inside bar. Contracting into such a narrow range on the day after the crash doesn't mean the decline has halted; it means neither side is pushing for now.

II. The old signal has completed a full cycle; let's close it out first

The 10-26 signal (after 4 candles closed below EMA20 → first cross above, closing at 742.88 that day): the signal candle's high of 747.47 is the confirmation level, and its low of 732.45 is the invalidation level. Using the rule “the next day's close must break above the signal candle's high,” the 10-27 close was 744.94, falling short by 2.53 (-0.34%), so it was not confirmed and the opportunity window closed. The 10-28 close of 759.85 did clear 747.47, but it was outside the next-day window, so it doesn't count under the rules. Then, on 10-29, the close of 698.46 broke below the invalidation level of 732.45 by $33.99, voiding the signal. There were 4 candles from the cross above to the signal being voided. Not a single close has yet finished above the 747.47 confirmation level, which still hangs overhead, $43.52 away.

III. Progress on the New Setup, and Two Levels

On 10-29, 10-30, and 10-31, 3 consecutive candles closed below EMA20, once again meeting the new signal's prerequisite of “at least 3 candles below.” BNB is now one step away from completing the setup: it just needs a candle to close above EMA20 to form a new signal candle. Its high and low will become the new confirmation and invalidation levels.

· To the upside: 732.87 (EMA20, which has declined by about 3.5 points per day on average over the last 3 days; tomorrow it will likely be near 729.3). Note that this almost overlaps with the midpoint of the 10-29 bearish candle's body at 729.16 ((759.85+698.46)/2)—729-733 is a zone of dual confluence. The bar for closing above it is higher than for a simple moving-average level, but clearing it would carry more weight.

· To the downside: 680.00-682.16 (the lows on 10-29 and 10-30, about -3.4% to -3.1% from 703.95). This range was tested twice in the two days after the crash, and neither time did the market close below it. It is currently the only downside level in the structure that is still holding.

IV. The Day's Narrative: The Event Is Being Repaired, but What's Being Repaired Is the Balance Sheet

The exchange involved says it has recovered about 90% of the stolen assets, and withdrawals will resume in stages starting today (Sunday), with BTC first. The FBI has confirmed North Korea's responsibility and called on the DeFi community to block the BTC, ETH, and SOL addresses involved. The Fear & Greed Index is at 34, still in fear territory.

V. The Counterpoint: The Assets Closest to the Event Are Recovering the Slowest

Taking the drop from the 10-28 close to the 10-29 low as 100%, here's how much had been recovered by the 10-31 close: LINK 88.4%, UNI 85.2%, NEAR 56.9%, SUI 47.9%, AVAX 44.0%; BNB recovered only 30.0%, ETH 17.9%, SOL 7.3%, and BTC -9.6%—at 77,582, it was already below the 10-29 low of 77,910, setting a new low after the crash. The closer an asset is to the event, the slower its structure is recovering.

Volume tells the same story: BNB's trading volume on 10-31 was 52.86M, just 12.8% of the 414.03M on the crash day—the most extreme volume contraction among this group (ETH 14.1%, XRP 13.4%, BTC 25.6%). It was also only 52.6% of the 20-day average. 10-31 was a Saturday, so there is a calendar-related discount, but even so, this was among the deepest contractions in the table.

There's an even more important layer: resumed withdrawals are positive for the balance sheet and the platform's functionality, but not necessarily for price structure. Assets locked up by the security incident will become freely tradable supply again once withdrawals resume. In the same week the narrative is playing out, BNB may have to contend not with a lack of buyers, but with the return of potential selling pressure. So I wouldn't treat “just 3.95% away from EMA20” as evidence of recovery, even though it's the best-looking figure in the table: the distance was -4.28% on 10-30 and -3.95% on 10-31, but the 10-31 close was actually 0.47 lower than the 10-30 close. All of that narrowing came from the moving average moving down; price contributed negatively.

VI. How I'm Handling It

Until there's a close above 729-733, I won't treat “being close to the moving average” as recovery. If there's a close below 680, this new structure gets wiped out and has to start over before it even forms.

Do you think BNB will close above the 729-733 confluence zone first, or go back to test the 680-682 double bottom first? Tell me in the comments which side you're on.
