🦅 A new procedure for confiscating cryptocurrency has been in effect in Russia since September 1, 2026.
Now, bailiffs only need to send an order to a digital depository, which will deduct the debtor’s assets and transfer them to the state.
According to the Federal Bailiff Service, 13 cryptocurrency confiscation cases are currently being enforced. Another case concerns assets acquired with unverified income, but it has been suspended by the court.
This shows that the state is gradually establishing mechanisms for the compulsory recovery of digital assets.
Cryptocurrency is no longer outside the law, and its owners must now take into account not only market risks but also legislation.
