Golden Pig's take: I saw an alert today saying “2,000 $BTC transferred from Binance to an unknown wallet.” Don’t panic—this is a new wallet belonging to Binance, not another incident.

Whale Alert reported the transfer this afternoon, worth about $156 million. He Yi later replied that this is a new Binance address and has been included in its Proof of Reserves (PoR).

Binance also officially explained that a batch of newly generated wallets has been added to its PoR address list, and all withdrawals will be sent from these new addresses going forward.

Withdrawal status: The BTC network was enabled first. Withdrawals have now also resumed for USDC, USDT, and ETH on Ethereum, as well as USDC, USDT, and $BNB on BNB Smart Chain. Other assets and networks will be made available in phases.

What I’ll do: Large transfers out of Binance will keep appearing on-chain over the next few days. When you see one, check the address against PoR first, then decide whether to follow the market’s emotions. What really matters is when the remaining networks will reopen.

When you see a large-transfer alert over the next few days, how do you usually tell whether it’s real?
