The FBI confirmed that North Korea’s “TraderTraitor” group carried out last week’s theft of more than $6 billion in assets from Binance. U.S. agencies urged cryptocurrency service providers to block transactions involving addresses linked to the stolen assets. A notice issued by the FBI on Saturday listed more than 600 Ethereum addresses, fewer than 20 Bitcoin addresses, and one Solana address. Binance said earlier on Saturday that it had recovered 90% of the stolen cryptocurrency and planned to resume customer withdrawals on Sunday. Chainalysis expects the attackers to use tens of thousands of addresses to launder the funds over the coming weeks.
