📚 Lesson Six: How to Confirm a Genuine Breakout and Avoid the Fake Breakout Trap?

A Trading Education Series from Scratch — For Beginners

In Lesson Five, we learned the difference between a fake breakout and a genuine one.
Today, I’ll give you 3 golden rules to check before entering any trade after a breakout:

1️⃣ Candle close, not a touch:
Don’t enter just because the price touches the trendline. Wait for a full candle to close (4-hour or daily) above the line. A touch can be deceptive; the close confirms the breakout.

2️⃣ Trading volume is the witness:
A genuine breakout is accompanied by a surge in trading volume. A fake breakout, on the other hand, happens on low volume—as if the market is whispering instead of shouting.

3️⃣ Retest:
The strongest breakouts return to test the broken level as new support. If the price comes back and respects the level, that’s an entry signal with an 80% probability of success.

⚠️ Bottom line: Don’t be one of those impatient traders who enter at the first breakout. Professionals wait for confirmation; beginners pay the price for rushing.
