Raymond Christian Garcia and Isaiah Angelo Garcia were sentenced to 180 and 186 months, respectively, after being convicted in a cryptocurrency kidnapping case. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Minnesota said U.S. District Judge Donovan W. Frank sentenced the brothers, from Waller, Texas, on October 29, 2026. The two men, armed with guns, held a family captive for more than nine hours and forced the victims to transfer cryptocurrency worth over $8 million. After the brothers fled, law enforcement officers arrested them near Houston.
