The TRON blockchain has reached another major milestone, with the total number of transactions across the network’s history exceeding 16 billion. That’s nearly two transactions for every person on the planet!

The achievement is confirmed by data from the TRONSCAN blockchain explorer. As of October 31, 2026, the network had already processed more than 16 billion transactions, continuing to demonstrate high activity among users and financial services.

16 billion transactions—how much is that?

To understand the scale, it’s enough to compare the figure with the population of Earth. Today, more than 8 billion people live on the planet. That means the number of TRON transactions since the network was launched is equivalent to nearly two transactions for every person.

How quickly is activity on TRON growing?

Back in September 2026, the number of TRON transactions exceeded 15 billion. Now the network has passed the next billion mark.

In the third quarter, TRON processed around 1.1 billion transactions, a 33.7% increase compared with the same period in 2025.

Average daily activity was approximately 12 million transactions.

Meanwhile, the average number of active addresses over a rolling one-month period reached 18 million.

Stablecoins are the main driver of activity

Transfers of USDT remain one of the main use cases for TRON. The network is used to move digital dollars between cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets, payment services, and other market participants.

In the third quarter of 2026 alone, stablecoin transfer volume reached $2.21 trillion, with an average daily volume of around $24 billion.

Meanwhile, the total volume of digital asset transfers on TRON throughout its history had previously exceeded $30 trillion. Regular digital asset transactions are what generate a significant share of demand for TRON’s infrastructure.

Conclusion

16 billion transactions is indeed a significant achievement for TRON.

What’s especially interesting is that the network continues to maintain high activity even after several years of massive growth.

But to me, the main measure of a blockchain’s success is not simply the number of transactions, but the real-world use cases it supports.

TRON already plays an important role in the USDT infrastructure, while new integrations with wallets, payment services, and financial institutions are gradually expanding the ecosystem’s capabilities.

The next step should be increasing the share of everyday payments, international settlements, and other transactions that are useful to ordinary users.

After all, a blockchain’s true success is measured not only by the number of transactions it processes, but also by how much demand there is for its infrastructure. And the 16 billion mark shows that TRON already has a substantial foundation for further growth.
