A new kind of digital workflow is taking shape, where software may not just help us find information but also take action on our behalf.
For that to work, agents need more than the ability to follow instructions. They need a way to establish their identity, access funds, and interact with services under clear rules.
This is the area where Kite is building.
Kite's Agent Passport is designed to give agents an identity and a funded wallet. Users can define permissions and spending limits, keeping control over what an agent is allowed to do.
Kite Chain is designed to support transactions within this agent economy.
Consider a simple example: an agent needs to access a paid digital service to complete a task. Identity, wallet access, and permission controls all become relevant to that process.
That's the concept I find worth exploring. The goal isn't simply to make software more autonomous; it's also about creating a framework where its actions can operate within user-defined boundaries.
The technology and adoption still need to prove themselves at scale, but Kite is addressing some important building blocks of this developing space.
