The market gave everyone a scare today, so I went to check how big it really was. $BTC is hovering around US$77,500 and is down 4.75% over the past 24 hours. But when I compare it with the whole month, the picture changes: over 30 days, bitcoin is down 7.3%, while ETH is down 16.8% and SOL is down 19.4%.

Those holding smaller coins lost more than twice as much as those holding bitcoin. It’s the classic pattern on a day of fear: money doesn’t leave the market; it leaves riskier assets.

My take is that this is a positioning move, not the end of the cycle—but I don’t have a crystal ball, and today’s drop has already shown why no one should invest money they can’t afford to watch fall in value.
