🇺🇸 Growth at 3.4% and inflation at 3.6%: America's strength is exactly what's making things harder for the Fed

$BTC Yesterday's US figures were contradictory in a way that explains why the market is on edge: the economy is strong, and inflation is still above target — the worst combination for anyone betting on near-term easing.

The facts from the US Bureau of Economic Analysis:
• Third-quarter GDP grew at an annualized rate of 3.4% — above expectations (around 3.1%) and up from 2.2% in the second quarter
• September PCE inflation reached 3.6% year over year (up from 3.4% in August), while core inflation came in at 3.1% (up from 3.0%)
• Initial jobless claims fell to 194,000 — the labor market is still holding steady
• The Fed had kept interest rates at 3.75%–4.00% the day before, with two dissenting votes calling for a hike

🔢 The number that changed the story: 3.6%
• Annual inflation of 3.6% alongside 3.4% growth means the Fed has no excuse to ease — making a December hike a serious possibility
• The takeaway in one line: today's strong economy is exactly what's delaying any easing tomorrow

And on the stock front:
• Alphabet (Google) missed expectations, and its shares fell about 11% before the market opened
• Amazon reported sales of $201.9 billion (+12%), but they came in below expectations, despite AWS surging 39.3% — the stock fell more than 11% after hours before paring its losses to around 5.4%
• Nasdaq futures fell about 2% — pressure on stocks is adding to pressure on crypto

Quick question: Do you think the Fed will hike in December or hold steady? Write "Hike" or "Hold".
