Circle plans to suspend the legacy contract on December 1, ending cross-chain USDC transfers via CCTP V1. Starting October 31, 2026, Circle will gradually lower burn limits. Services using CCTP V1 will need to update their integrations because the new version is not backward compatible. Circle also plans to suspend the USDC contract on Noble and the remaining cross-chain routes on January 12, 2027, requiring holders to transfer their USDC out in advance. Starting January 13, Circle will manually redeem the remaining balances. Applicants must meet compliance and security requirements and use a self-custody wallet.
