Hanwha Investment & Securities, part of South Korea’s Hanwha Group, has reached a strategic partnership with Chainlink, the company behind $LINK . Chainlink made the announcement shortly after 8 a.m. Beijing time today.

Chainlink provides oracle and cross-chain services. In simple terms, it brings off-chain data—such as prices and net asset values—onto blockchains, then uses CCIP to move assets between different chains.

According to the announcement, Hanwha Investment & Securities is building a global platform to tokenize real-world assets. It has designated Chainlink’s data standards and CCIP as the platform’s official infrastructure, allowing assets issued on any blockchain to connect through a single integration instead of building a separate system for each chain.

The two sides also said they would form a working group to study how to value tokenized assets and verify their reserves, so those assets can be used as collateral.

The backdrop is South Korea’s tokenized securities framework, which is expected to take effect in February 2027. The country’s major brokerages are choosing their underlying infrastructure now, effectively securing an early position.
