A quick look at the blockchain industry: Two oracle models
Chainlink’s Data Feeds are a prime example of the push model: a group of independent nodes aggregate price quotes and write them to the blockchain.
Pull oracles keep signed prices off-chain. When an application makes a transaction, it submits the price along with it; the on-chain contract uses the price only after verifying the signature.
$PYTH is the token of Pyth, an oracle network that uses a pull-based design.
