On-chain data shows that at least $5.57 billion flowed out of Binance-linked wallets on Thursday in what may have been a hack. Binance said it is investigating a potential security issue but has not confirmed that a hack occurred or that customer funds were affected. Tether and Circle froze around $1.8 billion in stablecoins held by the primary receiving address. If confirmed, a hack on this scale would set a record for the largest cryptocurrency theft. Bitcoin fell below $79,000, while BNB dropped about 7%.
