$PEPE $ENA $ETC U.S. media reported on October 27 that, with just one week left before the U.S. midterm elections, House Speaker Mike Johnson warned that Republican voter enthusiasm should not be underestimated. He said the Democrats’ increasingly left-wing agenda would push Americans toward the Republican Party, despite polls showing Democrats with an advantage nationwide.
On October 26, he said on a program, “If these Democrats take control of Congress, it will be even crazier than during the Obama years and the Biden-Harris years, because they have shifted so far to the left. People see that, and I think it will energize our side.”
Johnson warned, “This is no longer the Democratic Party of our parents’ generation. This group is moving sharply to the left. You can see it in the star candidates they are promoting across the country.”
Johnson described the 2026 midterm elections as a “contrast election,” saying voters faced a choice between “common sense” and “craziness.” He said, “Indeed, everyone has to ask themselves a simple question: Which set of policies is better for my family, my elderly parents, and my children? You have to vote Republican. You would be handing the keys to a bunch of angry Democrats who will exact revenge on President Trump and his administration. They will dramatically open the border. They will try to repeal tax cuts for working families and undo everything we have done on the economy.”
Johnson made these remarks as polls showed Democrats leading Republicans in this midterm election cycle. A new Reuters/Ipsos poll found that 47% of registered voters supported Democrats, while 36% supported Republicans.
Johnson argued that the polls were not representative and underestimated Republican enthusiasm. He claimed that, because of distrust, Republican voters were increasingly reluctant to participate in polls and surveys.#俄罗斯拟推加密投资者统一测试 #西太平洋银行将限制加密支付 #Visa稳定币年化结算量超250亿美元
