If your account isn’t growing, don’t blame it on having too little capital! These 9 bad habits are slowly draining your funds.

Plenty of people have spent three to five years trading crypto. They’ve switched platforms several times and learned a ton of indicators, yet their accounts are still going nowhere. The truth hurts:

They can find an outside excuse for every loss, but refuse to fix their own trading habits. They chase prices because they’re afraid of missing out, hold losing positions because they can’t accept the loss, and add to positions to lower their average cost.

They trade constantly, thinking they can’t make money unless they’re taking action. Every step comes with a self-deceptive excuse, and together they form an automatic losing routine.

Don’t use your small account as an excuse to go all in. Having little money doesn’t give you a license to risk it all. Once your account is wiped out, every opportunity after that is irrelevant. And don’t change your plan just because someone else posts their returns.

You have no idea what their entry price, position size, or risk controls are. Looking at screenshots will only throw off your own rhythm.

Before opening a trade, decide where you’ll exit. If you haven’t even figured out your stop-loss level, rushing in isn’t decisiveness—it’s acting recklessly on impulse. Don’t invent reversal stories to justify losing trades.

You go from misreading the trend to insisting that market makers are shaking out weak hands. The more excuses you make, the deeper your losses get.

After several wins in a row, it’s easy to get overconfident and think you’ve figured out the market—then suddenly max out your position. Don’t treat every candlestick as an opportunity.

If the market doesn’t meet your criteria, closing the app is far better than forcing a trade.

Don’t try to master five or six strategies at once. First, record dozens of entries and exits using one strategy, then decide whether it suits you. Unrealized gains aren’t money in your pocket.

Without an exit plan, you can give those gains back in minutes. Taking profits in stages is far better than getting greedy in the moment.

If you take a loss, don’t rush into another trade to prove yourself. Step aside and review what happened first. When your emotions haven’t settled, it’s all too easy to turn one small loss into a string of much bigger ones.

Stop hunting everywhere for magical trading indicators. Fixing the same mistakes you keep repeating will do more good than anything else.
