This morning, I still thought $BTC was hovering around 81,000. By noon, it had already fallen to just over 79,000.
The slide started with Asian markets. Samsung’s semiconductor profits grew more than tenfold, but still fell short of expectations. Its share price dropped by over 5%, and South Korea’s index fell by more than 2%. As tech stocks lost steam, crypto followed suit.
$BTC slid all the way down from 81,700. Long positions worth $356 million were liquidated in 24 hours, wiping out the morning’s rebound.
