Honestly, I’m not as nervous about tonight’s 2 a.m. rate decision as I am about tomorrow night at 8:30.
BTC is around 80,480 now, up just 0.4% in 24 hours. ETH at 2,328 is basically flat. Everyone’s holding their breath—and when the tension finally breaks, it’s often not just one shot, but several in a row.
Here are the three things I’ll be watching tomorrow 👀
1. The rate decision at 2 a.m. and the press conference at 2:30 a.m. They raised rates once in September, and now they’re at 3.75%-4.00%. I just want to hear one thing: are they going to raise rates again?
2. At 8:30 p.m., U.S. Q3 GDP and September PCE come out at the same time. GDP is expected to come in at 3.2%, and core PCE was 3.0% last time. If growth is strong and inflation isn’t cooling, the tone they set in the early hours could be rewritten that very evening. The ECB joins in at 9:15, too.
3. Friday morning (after the U.S. market closes), Coinbase and Strategy report earnings. Strategy paused buying once last week, and I’m really curious to hear how they explain it.
One quick note: Falcon Finance’s FF has an unlock tomorrow. Depending on the data source, it’s around 6% of the circulating supply, worth roughly $20 million. If you’re holding, keep an eye on it.
I’m still watching the same levels: BTC at 82,500 above and 79,800 below; if it breaks lower, then 78,000. For ETH, 2,300 is the first level to hold, while the 90-day moving average at 2,373 has been holding it down for several days.
Take a guess: when you wake up at 8 a.m. Friday, will BTC be above or below 80,000? I’m leaning above, but only 60% confident 😅
