#robinhood财报发布后股价跌8.4% HOOD plunged more than 7% in premarket trading, to $87.26.
The company posted record revenue, but missed on EPS—and by a wide margin.
Total revenue was $1.424 billion, up 12% year over year and indeed a record high. But adjusted EPS came in at just $0.60, versus market expectations of $0.64—a miss of nearly 7%.
What went wrong? Crypto revenue plunged 55% year over year. Trading revenue held up thanks to options and stocks, but crypto revenue was cut in half. In other words: retail investors are still trading, just not crypto.
What does this mean for crypto? HOOD is a barometer of retail investor sentiment. A 55% collapse in crypto revenue suggests retail money is pulling out of the crypto market. It’s not about prices—it’s about participation.
Bitcoin is currently holding above $80,000, but it’s still down 3.2% for October. “Uptober” has completely fizzled out. Ahead of tonight’s Fed decision, BTC is moving in a tight range between $80,600 and $80,900, with $81,200 acting as firm resistance.
HOOD’s sell-off doesn’t mean the company itself is in trouble. It’s the market repricing “retail risk appetite.” With crypto revenue cut in half and an EPS miss, don’t expect HOOD’s earnings to lift short-term sentiment in crypto.
Tonight, what Warsh says matters more than anything. Whether BTC can hold $80,000 depends on interest rates, not Robinhood.$HOOD $BTC $ETH #股票财报季 #股票财报季 #FOMC会议
