I tried out the iPhone Duo in person at a store. The large screen when unfolded felt great, especially for people who don’t have an iPad. Having a big screen for reading messages, browsing the web, reading books, and so on would be really convenient in everyday life. I’m kind of tempted, but I already have an iPad Pro, so I don’t need to give myself another reason to buy a new phone.
As for apps not being specifically optimized for it, that might not make much difference to many users overseas, since a lot of apps are web-based. If they run in the browser, there’s not really much difference. If you’re waiting for native apps, though, it’ll be at least six months.
