Binance founder CZ said that four data breaches were reported today, involving Amplitude, Bithumb, Mirae Asset, and Daishin Securities. A breach at Amplitude, a third-party service provider to Coinbase, exposed the contact information of some Coinbase users but did not affect user funds. CZ warned that the leaked personal information could be used for phishing, SIM-swapping attacks, and social engineering. He advised users to use separate email addresses and strong passwords on different trading platforms, adopt stronger authentication methods, and enable additional account security measures.
