🔧 BSC Jenner hard fork hits testnet tomorrow: a dedicated payment lane is coming
• Testnet (Chapel) activation time: October 29 at 10:30 Beijing time (02:30 UTC), with client v1.8.1
• BEP-703 Payment Lane: 5% of each block’s gas is reserved by default for compliant payment transactions; governance can raise this to a maximum of 10%
• BEP-702: Underlying capabilities for the CAS20 compliant asset standard, designed for stablecoins/RWAs; token creation still requires a separate activation later
• BEP-706: Contracts can read timestamps with millisecond precision
• Mainnet timing has not yet been announced. Don’t believe rumors claiming it will go live on a specific date
