A Russian military court sentenced IT specialist Yuri Belenki to 13 years in prison for “financing terrorism” by donating to a fundraiser for Ukraine. The court said the sentence includes three years in prison, followed by 10 years in a strict-regime penal colony. TASS reported that Belenki denies the charges and that his defense team will appeal. Russian law enforcement documents reviewed by Reuters show that transaction records provided by Binance played a key role in Belenki’s prosecution. However, TASS reported that the defense questioned whether the records really came from Binance.
