On October 26, 2026, oracle project RedStone announced on its website that it had connected price data to DogeOS, the application layer of the Dogecoin ecosystem. What it connected was the price-feed layer—not custody or settlement (according to the project; no third-party audit has been seen).

One way to read this is that this is a brick laid in the right place: if you want to use $DOGE as collateral or borrow against it, someone first has to feed in the price. Another way to read it is that it’s still a long way from being inhabited: someone still has to build the applications, and connecting price feeds doesn’t mean there’s anything usable yet. For holders right now, nothing has changed.

I agree with both views. The only difference is whether you define “progress” as laying bricks or moving in. DogeOS’s EVM-compatible public testnet launched on October 1, 2026, so it hasn’t even been a month yet.
