📅 Fed week: why can a meeting in Washington move your $BTC in Abidjan or Dakar?

📌 The facts (CoinDesk, Benzinga, Oct. 26)
• $BTC fell back below $80,000 on Monday morning (around $79,800), with ETH just above $2,300
• Wednesday, Oct. 28: Fed rate decision (9 p.m. Moscow time), followed by a press conference with Chair Kevin Warsh
• Thursday, Oct. 29: September PCE inflation index
• The market is less worried about Wednesday itself than about the message: could a rate hike in December be on the table?
• Very expensive oil (Brent around $114) + U.S.-Iran tensions = inflationary pressure
• According to CoinDesk, BTC needs to reclaim $82,500 for buyers to regain confidence

🔍 How it works, simply
When interest rates rise, borrowing becomes more expensive and a “risk-free” investment in dollars pays more. Some money then moves out of riskier assets (tech stocks, crypto). Less money circulating = more volatile prices.

⚖️ A caveat: no one knows the decision in advance. A Fed that is softer than expected could also send the market bouncing back. Fed weeks are mainly when sharp moves catch people off guard.

👤 Awa (a fictional character), a fabric seller in Abidjan, saves a little in crypto each month. Her plan this week: no leverage, no panic buying on Wednesday night, and she sticks to her usual savings routine instead of betting everything on a single announcement.

💬 On Wednesday evening, will the Fed be 🟢 dovish / 🔴 hawkish / 🟡 no surprise? 👇
