ChainCatcher reports, citing (Du Jia), that Tencent is internally testing “HermitKit,” an AI capability plugin for WeChat Mini Programs. It offers three integration options: APIs, UI components, and demos. The plugin supports streaming calls to large models via ChatApi, creating and managing Agents with AgentBuilder and enabling multi-turn conversations. It also includes session storage and long-term memory, and allows users to bind remote Agents by scanning a QR code via AgentChannel to send and receive messages.

HermitKit currently showcases seven types of feature demos: AI SDK, Agent Channel, Agent Management, Pet Agent, Chatbot, Travel Planning, and Plugin Marketplace. The AI SDK aligns with APIs such as createModel, generateText, and streamText in Cloud Development. The Pet Agent lets developers read a pet’s status through an interface and trigger status changes by using items. The Plugin Marketplace supports searching, publishing, and downloading MCP, Skill, and Expert resource packages. The plugin has not officially launched yet, and its features may still change.
