Whether $BTC can hold above $80,000 next week will be a key turning point for the market’s subsequent direction!

The market is currently hovering around $80,000. On the weekly chart, rebound highs have continued to move lower, with the $84,000–$85,000 area once again acting as resistance.

Technically, the weekly KDJ has formed a death cross at high levels, the MACD red bars are shrinking, and the RSI remains above 50. This suggests that mid-term rebound momentum is fading, although buyers have not completely lost their ability to defend the market.

There is also a divergence in fund flows: institutional investors have not withdrawn across the board, but they also lack the willingness to keep chasing prices higher.

What will truly determine BTC’s direction next week is the U.S. stock market and macro liquidity.

The Fed’s rate decision, GDP, PCE, and earnings reports from major tech companies are all due.
The market already expects interest rates to remain unchanged. More important will be the Fed’s stance on future policy and whether inflation data can ease pressure on Treasury yields.

If the Nasdaq remains under pressure, BTC will find it hard to avoid the fallout. If U.S. stocks stabilize and ETF inflows resume consistently, the rebound may continue.

My view: next week is likely to start weak and then stabilize. I’ll be watching the $78,000–$84,000 range, and for now I’m cautious about the direction.

The $79,000–$80,000 area is the first line of defense. If it gives way, watch out for a drop to $77,500 or even $75,000. To the upside, BTC must first reclaim $82,000, then hold above $84,000–$85,000 before it can challenge $87,000 again.

I don’t advocate blindly shorting around $80,000, nor will I declare a bottom based on a single rebound. What’s truly worth watching out for is not a decline after bad news is priced in, but the inability to rise even after good news is priced in.
