On October 21, Grayscale Head of Research Zach Pandl ranked DeFi tokens by tokenholder yield: HYPE topped the list at 8.0%, while CAKE ranked first for adjusted earnings yield at 14.4%. But yields for holders of AAVE, JUP, and CRV were all negative, with CRV as low as -5.5%—token issuance and dilution directly wiping out buybacks and revenue sharing. Before looking at altcoins, don’t just listen to the narrative—check the numbers first: is the yield on the token you hold positive or negative?
