Still holding $PTB or a $MITO contract position? Take note: Binance will close it for you tomorrow ⚠️
Binance Futures announcement: At 17:00 Beijing time on October 23 (09:00 UTC), all positions in the PTBUSDT and MITOUSDT USDT-margined perpetual contracts will be automatically settled. Once settlement is complete, the contracts will be officially delisted.
The timeline is tight:
① Starting at 17:30 Beijing time on October 21, both contracts entered reduce-only mode. All new orders that are not reduce-only will be rejected;
② Tomorrow at 17:00, all open positions will be automatically closed at the settlement price.
My take: The final few hours before a contract is delisted are often the most volatile—liquidity dries up and bid-ask spreads widen. The closer settlement gets, the greater the risk of being caught by an extreme price spike. Rather than waiting for the system to settle your position at market price, consider reducing or closing it yourself today and taking back control. Also note that the announcement mentions only these two perpetual contracts, so there’s no need to panic about anything else.
Have you ever had a contract delisted and automatically settled? Did you make or lose money?
