đ° After making a fortune in crypto, does nobody really care how you made it?
A short post on X blew up today: wale.moca wrote, âAfter making a lot of money in crypto, most people donât care how you made it.â It got around 15,000 views, over 500 likes, and more than 330 replies. The comments were basically split into two camps.
đš One camp thinks thatâs just reality: âPeople only care about the results,â âYour balance is more convincing than your methods,â and one person simply dropped, âHate the game, not the player.â
đš The other camp wasnât buying it: some said most people who make big money are scammers or insiders; one person called out, âUnless youâre Kimchiâ; and someone else coolly replied, âOur government will care.â
My take: The people saying ânobody caresâ often just havenât been burned yet. Anyone whoâs been burned by that project will remember it for life.
And that last reply hits hardest. Whether other people care doesnât matterâtax authorities, exchange risk-control teams, and on-chain records do. On-chain activity canât be erased. Todayâs âfinancial freedomâ could become tomorrowâs evidence.
For ordinary people, hereâs the more practical point: donât assume someone is right just because theyâre rich. Itâs far more useful to check what happened to the coins they promoted in the past than to look at the balance theyâre showing off.
Would you follow a KOLâs trades just because they made a fortune, or would you check their track record first? Share your thoughts in the comments đ
