Is a Kanye-linked address quietly buying the ETH dip again? 🧐
On-chain analyst Ai Yi spotted that an address tagged as being linked to Kanye West, 0xdeA...a1d5c, recently used a leveraged lending loop on Aave to go long on ETH.
Key figures:
① Since September 29, it has withdrawn a total of 12,549.9 ETH from Binance, worth about $32.04 million;
② It has now deposited 18,500.54 WETH as collateral on Aave and borrowed about $25.01 million in stablecoins, with a health factor of 1.51, continuing to bet on ETH;
③ By adding to the position in batches, it brought its average entry price down from $2,460 to $2,553.31.
My take: This kind of leveraged lending loop isn’t for retail traders. A health factor of 1.51 means liquidation could be triggered after a drop of just over 30%. If a whale is willing to do this, they must either be confident the downside is limited or have other liquidity arrangements. For most people, it’s better to watch from the sidelines—don’t copy the trade. The same position might be affordable for a whale to lose, but not for you.
