#zcash开发者确认11月nu7升级
$2.9 billion in leverage piled onto a privacy coin. A fund nobody wanted for three weeks gets snapped up at 9x the rate in two days 🐋

ZEC is now trading at around $1,287. It has rebounded for three days straight, up about 15% over the past week. But what really brought the market back wasn’t the price—it was two big flows of money. Grayscale’s Zcash ETF saw net inflows of $15.18 million on Wednesday, compared with just $1.61 million the day before—about 9.4 times more. That was also its biggest single-day inflow in nearly a month. Before that, it had seen net outflows for three consecutive weeks 📈
The other development was in the futures market. According to CoinGlass, open interest in ZEC futures surged to $2.89 billion, its highest level since September 29. At the start of this week, it was still at $2.25 billion—an increase of about $510 million in just over a week. These positions don’t reveal which way traders are betting; they just add leverage.
Zooming out, this rebound is still making up lost ground. On September 26, ZEC peaked at $1,698. At $1,287 now, it’s still about 30% below that level. In other words, this week’s 15% gain has only recovered some of the earlier losses. It’s not a new high 🦖
Technically, on the 4-hour chart, ZEC is above both the 50-period moving average at $1,210 and the 200-period moving average at $1,235. These two levels have now become short-term support. The RSI is around 61, below the overbought threshold of 70. The first level to watch is $1,250: can it hold as support? There’s also another catalyst in play: developers have confirmed that the NU7 upgrade will go live in November. Whenever an upgrade approaches, investors revisit the privacy narrative.
My take: these past two days of inflows aren’t enough to call this a reversal. Three reasons: First, Grayscale’s ETF is relatively small, so $15.18 million is nothing major in the context of the overall market. Second, after three straight weeks of net outflows, two days of inflows look more like short covering and a mood recovery. Third, open interest has risen by $510 million, but public data doesn’t show whether bulls or bears have the upper hand. The more leverage piles up, the more volatility gets amplified if the market picks the wrong direction ⚠️
The two numbers really worth watching are the $1,250 support level and the $2.89 billion in open interest. If the price holds above the moving averages while open interest keeps rising, that suggests new money is willing to buy in at higher prices. If the price falls back below $1,235 while open interest continues to climb, that means leveraged positions are stubbornly holding on. This kind of setup is especially prone to cascading liquidations.
Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments: is this ZEC rally a repricing of the privacy narrative, or just another bounce fueled by leverage?
