Will the Fed raise interest rates again in late October?
@Btc颜言
I’m inclined to think it will pause this time, with the real risk possibly coming in December.
As of October 21, markets priced in about a 14.9% chance of a rate hike in October, and leaving rates unchanged remained the prevailing expectation. However, market expectations are not the final outcome, and the inflation trend remains key.
In September, the Fed had already raised rates to 3.75%–4.00%. Whether it will continue raising rates in the near term depends on upcoming inflation, employment, and economic data. If inflation remains stubborn, another rate hike in December cannot be ruled out.
Looking at $BTC , I’m more focused on the potential for a rebound after the daily-chart pullback. If selling pressure eases and trading volume picks up, combined with market sentiment ahead of the U.S. midterm elections, a continued rebound cannot be ruled out.
But don’t rush to assume that $BTC will definitely rise through the end of November. If the market prices in good news early, then comes under pressure in December as rate-hike expectations heat up, we could see prices rise first and then fall. Of course, cooler inflation could also invalidate this scenario.
My approach is simple: in the short term, watch whether $BTC can break through resistance on higher volume; in the medium term, keep a close eye on inflation data and expectations for a December rate hike. A rebound may present an opportunity, but don’t mistake expectations for certainty. #美联储何时降息?
