【Market Update】Tokenized stocks surged ninefold in a single quarter to $50 billion, but DeFi’s recovery hasn’t generated more revenue for Ethereum mainnet—instead, revenue fell from $63 million to around $40.6 million. ARK’s Q3 report shows spot DEX trading volume rose 13% to $571 billion, RWA grew 19% to around $39 billion, and lending deposits climbed 51% to $81 billion. Money is moving faster on-chain, but public blockchains aren’t getting much of the upside. This wave of activity is mainly being driven by token incentives and brokerage referrals. Are tokenized stocks driven by real demand, or are they just another round of subsidy-fueled growth? Comment 1 if you think it’s real demand; comment 2 if you think it’s subsidies.
