The top gainer nearly doubled, while the biggest loser fell just 2.5%: today’s gainers and losers are a one-way story. (Binance Spot, as of 18:30)

$IOST is up 97.49%, at 0.001493 USDT, with 24-hour trading volume of 31.69 million—a sharp rise on heavy volume. The catalyst was the v4.0.0 mainnet upgrade completed on October 19. Today, its trading volume on Upbit broke into the top two across the entire platform. This is an event-driven move.

$BMT is up 23.43%, at 0.02376 USDT, with 24-hour trading volume of 12.48 million. Volume is also up, but I haven’t seen any clear news about this coin. Volume-driven gains without a clear catalyst generally aren’t as sustainable as event-driven ones.

TIA is down 2.54%, at 0.6204 USDT, with 24-hour trading volume of 13.24 million, making it today’s biggest loser. The fact that the biggest loser is down only 2.5% suggests there was almost no selling pressure throughout the day, and I haven’t seen any clear negative news about it either.

My view is that the market will likely remain relatively strong and range-bound from tonight through tomorrow: there are no significant losses among the day’s biggest losers, and selling pressure is light. This view is wrong if coins down more than 5% show up on tonight’s losers list, or if IOST gives back all of its 97% gains.

This is not investment advice.
