A quiet day. At least, there are no significant macroeconomic events related to the US, which are usually the main triggers for market movements.
The UK Consumer Price Index and Producer Input Price Index figures were released this morning (they matter because of the pound sterling’s role in calculating the US Dollar Index, DXY). Both came in above forecasts, adding inflationary pressure on the pound. But for now, this is having little impact on the market.
