A bunch of U.S. companies are reporting earnings tonight, and crypto is stuck watching how they do. It’s pretty annoying.
After the bell, it’s Tesla and the Facebook company; on Thursday, it’s the one that makes storage. What everyone’s watching isn’t how much they earned, but how much they still plan to pour into AI this year.
Why does that matter? Last week, a company in the computing-power business saw its bond interest rate hit 15% at one point. The door to borrowing money to expand is basically shut. If these companies say tonight that they’re continuing to ramp up spending, it means they can still borrow. If they start tightening their purse strings, that’s a different story.
If they can still borrow, people will keep playing in risk assets. If they can’t, we’ll be the first ones to get drained.
BTC is at 82.7k right now, up a little over 1%. It’s made back half of yesterday’s drop. But this rise has nothing to do with earnings—it’s just ordinary daily volatility. Don’t read too much into it.
I’m getting a bit fed up with scrolling through finance accounts these past couple of days. Everyone’s talking about an AI bubble, even though just recently the mood was completely different.
I’m not going to guess tonight’s numbers. We’ll talk after they’re out. If there’s any move to make, it’ll be after the market opens tomorrow. Betting on a direction now is pure luck. #股票财报季
