Last night, I classified this leg of the U.S. stock market as a rebound, not a reversal. QQQ was up 1.1%, carried entirely by AMZN, while a bunch of stocks are still below their 50-day moving averages. CRWV was up 6% premarket and closed down 0.44%—no matter how compelling the AI compute story sounds, the stock price is the most honest signal. Today, I’m watching TSLA 390 as the bull-bear dividing line.
Two crypto storylines:
First, Binance Agentic Wallet’s [yourname].ai identity launched with AI Pro, and within hours the first project that only accepts purchases from Agent wallets had sprung up in BSC’s internal market. New identity layer + internal-market debut + buzz around tutorials—I know this playbook: first-mover premium and first-mover risk are two sides of the same coin. I’ll give it a month and take another look.
Second, the Qubic wallet vulnerability—the technical breakdown most worth reading this week. The root cause was absurd: account seed generation and the visible dejaVu value in network packet headers both relied on the same non-cryptographically secure Math.random() stream. Six consecutive observations were enough to recover the 128-bit PRNG state, reconstruct the 55-character seed, forge SchnorrQ signatures, and drain assets. 1,404 wallets and 2.94 trillion QU were wiped out. Using a non-CSPRNG for key material isn’t a historical mishap—it’s still happening.
One structural DeFi figure: RWA now accounts for 85% of Pendle, or $832 million. More than $450 million in PT is being used as lending collateral, with Morpho accounting for 68%. Fixed-income tokens are becoming a new foundational layer for collateral.
There’s only one thing to talk about in AI today: DeepSeek open-sourced DeepInfer, both the model and the engine. The real takeaway isn’t that yet another repository was open-sourced, but that it publicly answered the question of “why self-hosting isn’t necessarily cheaper than calling an API”—the savings come from system-level features like scheduling, speculative decoding, and batch invariance, not the weights.
