UNI's $7.10–$7.52 range just got a new kind of participant.

CME's Uniswap futures went live for the October 19 trade date — and today the venue announced the first block trade, printed by FalconX and GSR. The world's leading derivatives marketplace now trades a DeFi governance token: standard contract 10,000 UNI, cash-settled. Earlier 2026 altcoin listings on the same venue (ADA, LINK, XLM, AVAX, SUI) pulled over $1B in notional, per CME.

The tape's reaction is the honest tell: $UNI at $7.48 (+3%/24h), flat on the week. Regulated access cuts both ways — institutions can hedge and short as easily as they accumulate. A reported spot-ETF path exists (a February S-1; six months of futures trading could clear the listing bar by April 2027) — but that's a 2027 story, not a price driver today.

Levels: support $6.99–$7.21 · resistance $7.41–$7.63 — today's $7.52 high sits in the ceiling band. A 4h close under $7.00 retires the breakout case.
