$GRVT up 17% in a day|Don’t get carried away just yet—I checked the contract address
Here’s the conclusion upfront: keep it on your watchlist. The project is legit, but the tokens are very tightly concentrated.
This coin ranked fourth among today’s top gainers, up 17.4% in a day. Its price climbed from 0.21 to 0.264 and is now hovering around 0.25. At first, I got a little nervous: I remembered GRVT as the token of Grvt, the hybrid exchange, and the officially announced contract was on Ethereum, while the one on this list was on BSC. Could this be a namesake trying to ride the hype? 🤔
I checked PancakeSwap’s official blog. When they partnered with Grvt at the end of July to run a trading competition, they clearly listed the official contract on BNB Chain. It matches the one on the list character for character. False alarm—it’s the real deal.
Next, the market data. Twenty-four-hour trading volume is $1.11 million across 11,500 trades. There were 5,500 buys (around $570,000) and 6,100 sells (around $550,000)—pretty evenly matched, with neither side pushing noticeably harder. The pool holds $960,000, nearly double the $500,000 it had when first listed, so someone’s adding liquidity. There are 29,400 holders—not a small number.
But the token distribution is striking: the top ten addresses hold 89%, and the largest wallet alone accounts for 34.3%, or over 14 million tokens. That 17% gain on the leaderboard may look exciting, but the pool is still less than $1 million deep. If someone makes a large trade, the slippage could really sting.
The project itself is solid: Grvt is a self-custodial hybrid exchange, with matching off-chain and settlement on-chain, built on zkSync’s Layer 2. It holds a license from the Bermuda Monetary Authority, and its token is already listed on Coinbase, KuCoin, and Bybit. The TGE was on July 30. The total supply is fixed at 1 billion, with no further issuance. Just over 114 million are currently circulating, putting the circulating market cap at around $27 million and the FDV at roughly $230 million.
So I’d keep it on the watchlist. The fundamentals look fine, but this short-term 17% surge seems mostly driven by activity within the pool. With 89% concentration, think carefully before making a move.
This is not investment advice. Alpha projects are high-risk and could go to zero.
