An analysis of emotional conflict by STANDARD-BINANCE
The previous setup played out flawlessly, but due to a technical pause in posting, we didn’t manage to open a position. The price took off exactly as we’d anticipated. Rationally, the “Adult” understands: the account is 100% in cash, the capital is safe. But somewhere deep inside, it still hurts and feels frustrating. Why does this happen?
THE CONFLICT BETWEEN THE “ADULT” AND THE “CHILD” IN TRADING
Market psychology isn’t a set of abstract formulas. It’s a DAILY inner battle between two forces inside your mind:
THE ADULT (System & Risk Management):
Coolly watches the screen and says: “The train has left the station. Entering at the very peak, right at resistance, is suicide. We’re staying 100% in cash. The top priority is preserving capital.”
THE CHILD (Emotions & Dopamine):
Clenches their fists and cries: “But I was right! I read that chart down to the last cent! Where’s my well-deserved reward?!”
Admitting to this inner dialogue isn’t weakness. It’s the highest level of maturity as a trader.
WHY DOES IT HURT, AND HOW DO YOU LIVE WITH IT?
The child inside us doesn’t need the profit itself so much as recognition that they were right. When you’ve done deep analytical work but missed the trade because of a split-second delay, the frustration flares up instantly.
At this point, 95% of “retail traders” make a fatal mistake: to calm their “Child,” they jump aboard the departing train at the very peak, driven by emotion, get stopped out or liquidated, and blow their account.
What does STANDARD-BINANCE do?
We acknowledge the emotion: yes, it’s frustrating and upsetting.
We do NOT let the “Child” take the wheel when it comes to our account.
We make a strict change to our entry procedure: first, place the order and stop-loss on the exchange in a flash ➔ only then publish it for everyone.
LESSON LEARNED
Capital preserved: 100%. The analysis was flawless. The execution procedure has been updated and drilled until automatic.
Today, your “Adult” saved your account from your emotions, and your “Child” learned a very important lesson. We’ll wait for the next trigger—and claim what’s ours without a single delay! ⚓️
