The most interesting news today has to be Musk saying on X that next year he plans to give every child in the U.S. one share of SpaceX stock—and that this is just the first of several giveaways. At the current price of around $146 per share of SPCX, one share isn’t much, but there are more than 70 million minors in the U.S., which puts the total at over $10 billion. Honestly, only Musk could pull off something like this. There are no details yet on how the shares will be distributed or who will qualify, but the idea is well worth thinking about: getting a generation to own shares in a company from an early age is actually the best kind of “user education.” It’s the same principle as the early airdrops in crypto: once people have something in their hands, they’ll start paying attention, learning about it, and spreading the word.

But the thing that got the most attention from Elon Musk this week was the new Roadster “flying car” unveiled a few days ago. At a SpaceX test site, a sports car fitted with cold-gas thrusters developed jointly with SpaceX flew right over five Teslas, then landed safely. Of course, experts say it’s more like a “jump” than a “flight,” and mass production won’t happen until 2028. But look back: reusable rockets, Starlink, brain-computer interfaces—which of those wasn’t mocked when it first came out? I’ve always thought Musk is one of the few true geniuses of our time. He isn’t just telling stories; time and again, he’s turning science fiction into reality, and he’s willing to share the results directly with ordinary people. That’s far more tangible than any PowerPoint project. And sometimes, the things he does feel like he’s just “playing”—his imagination is enormous.

Now, let’s talk about the broader market. This past week’s move was essentially a pullback. Bitcoin fell all the way from $85,000, hitting a low of $79,800 last week. It briefly dipped below $80,000, then quickly bounced back. It’s now hovering around $83,000, while Ethereum has climbed back above $2,400. In my view, this pullback hasn’t disrupted the uptrend that’s been in place since September. The $80,000 level has held up under pressure, and there’s still fairly strong buying support below. I’m inclined to think we’ll see a few days of sideways trading before another leg up, with the first test being whether Bitcoin can break above its previous high near $86,000.

Of course, another rally doesn’t mean you should blindly chase prices—especially with altcoins. They surge hard during rebounds, but they also fall the hardest during pullbacks. I think everyone’s felt that with this recent dip. My strategy is still the same: I’ve been buying back some of my positions on dips, and I’m planning to keep using grid trading to sell portions of my holdings. Some quality assets, like UNI, are attracting more interest again lately. I think those are still worth holding; over the past one or two weeks, I’ve been selling and then buying back in. For major assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum, just hold steady: add a little in stages during pullbacks, then let your grid orders sell automatically when prices rise. When the market starts picking up, it’s even more important to stick to your rhythm.
